Worthy Bonds

We find it truly amazing that banks are only offering a stingy interest rate of less than .1% (that’s right—point 1%!) on savings accounts. It’s hardly worth having an account. You might as well keep your cash in a safe deposit box!

Realizing this we have always looked for alternatives to place our liquid funds. We’ve discussed a few options like Bask Bank which offers AA miles instead of interest and FABT offering a 2.05% checking account. Here’s another gem.

We invest in Worthy Bonds. The bonds pay you a 5% annual interest rate. In 4 years they’ve never missed a payment. Build your nest egg without relying on the ups & down & uncertainties of Wall Street. Worthy Peer Capital II, a Worthy Financial company, invests bond sale proceeds into secured, asset-backed small business loans and into other public and private investments, including real estate. Proceeds from Worthy Bonds fund asset-backed loans to American businesses — a primary driving force behind the health of the U.S. economy. Their loans are secured by assets having a greater appraised liquidation value than the loan amount.

We especially like that our funds are very liquid. You can withdraw your money any time at no charge. We have better things to do with our money than pay fees!

For as low as $10 you can invest today and start earning 5% interest, which accrues daily compound interest, all without having to worry about paying any fees or penalties. There’s a $50K maximum you can invest. But….this is an investment and the funds are not FDIC insured. Nevertheless, as we mentioned, in 4 years they’ve never missed a payment to investors.

Here’s a link where you can get a free $10 bond (we do too) if you open an account and keep it active for 90 days.
